Deleting Your Account
Permanently delete your Family Tree Global account and data.
Before You Delete
Consider these alternatives:
- Cancel subscription and downgrade to Free
- Make all trees private
- Take a break and come back later
What Gets Deleted
- All your family trees
- All photos and documents
- All stories and notes
- Your account information
- All collaboration history
What Happens to Shared Trees
- Trees you created are deleted
- Your contributions to others' trees remain
- Collaborators are notified
How to Delete Your Account
- Export all your data first!
- Go to Account Settings
- Click "Delete Account"
- Enter your password
- Confirm deletion
⚠️ WARNING: This action is permanent and cannot be undone! All data will be deleted within 30 days.
